SECOND ANNUAL COMMEMORATION SERVICE
FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME
Convocation Hall, University of Toronto
June 10, 2001,

The Office for Victims of Crime in partnership with the Victim Services Program
of Toronto is hosting a Commemoration Service for Victims of Crime on June 10,
2001.
You are invited to join us and pay tribute to all victims of crime.
This Service will be held
at 11:00 AM at Convocation Hall at 31 Kings College Circle at the University of
Toronto. A reception will
immediately follow the service. Free
parking is available in the vicinity of Convocation Hall.
Members of the media have been invited to join us at the Commemoration
Service and should be available both before and after the service if you care to
speak with them. If you would like
assistance in this regard please approach any of the greeters who will be
wearing a yellow ribbon on their lapel.
Victim Assistance Personnel will be available if you need a few moments to
collect your feelings in private after the service.
We would like to share with you in honouring your loved one(s).
If you wish to participate in a written tribute please fill out the
attached form and return it to the Office for Victims of Crime no later than the
25th of May. This
information will be included in a Tribute Program that will be distributed the
day of the service. It should be
noted that only the name, date and type of victimization, or in the case of a
death by crime or missing through suspected abduction; the name, date of birth,
date of death (or date missing) and type of crime will be included in the
Tribute Program.
Please extend this invitation to police officers, victim assistance personnel,
friends and any person who has shared this experience with you.
